SAFETY TRAINING

Seger's Safety Service offers training in the following:

CERTA Instructor - The insurance industry requires that roofing employees whom are required to use a torch must be CERTA certified. Upon successful completion of the course employees will be issued a CERTA certification card valid for 3 years.

CPR & First Aid Instructor - OSHA requirements state that the employer must have at least one employee at the job site certified in CPR & First Aid. Many employers choose to certify their entire work force. CPR certification is valid for 1-year & First Aid certification is valid for 3 years.

Fall Protection / Safety Monitor Training - OSHA requires fall protection training if your employees are exposed to a fall of 6 feet, or more. Upon successful completion employees will be issued Fall Protection/Safety monitor training certificate. This session includes a powerpoint presentation of real life solutions to various fall protection dilemas.

Forklift Operator Certification - Operators of forklifts must be trained & certified. Successful participants will received a training certificate as well as a wallet size certification card valid for 3 years.

Asbestos Worker Training - Roofing specific asbestos worker training. Successful participants will receive a single-discipline training certificate.

Aerial Lift operator training Coming in the fall of 2009.

Incident Investigation - Incidents involving injuries, property damage, near misses & fatalities should be investigated immediately. We provide accurate, independent opinions that may eliminate or reduce your risk in the future. It may be several years before a claim is filed however an incident investigation should be completed as quickly as possible. If you even suspect a claim, contact us immediately.

Expert Witness Testimony - Incident causation, OSHA regulations & expert opinions can be provided to provide supporting documentation for your claim.

Loss Control Audits - We offer a full line of auditing for the insurance industry with special emphasis on construction contractors.

Litigation Support - We can provide documentation relating to OSHA, DOT, MSHA, accident investigation etc.

Job Site Safety Audit - This is an extensive part of our business. Safety audits are designed to prevent injuries, property damage and OSHA citations. With our extensive experience in this area you will have a better understanding of where your company specific liabilities are and how to insulate yourself from risk.

MSDS Manual - MSDS's (Material Safety Data Sheets) are required to be on site for all hazardous materials. This overwhelming task can be simplified by our knowledge in this subject area. You will end up with hard copies of your MSDS manual or we can customize your company web site to include MSDS easily accessible with the push of a button. In my experience MSDSs are included in the scope of 95% of OSHA inspections.

Safety Program Binder - Years of trial and error have resulted in one of the best safety program binders available. We don't issue cookie cutter binders. Your help will be required to create a company specific safety manual. You will receive a CD of the finished product that you will allow you to make changes in the future.

Employee Training - OSHA requires employee training on various topics in the construction industry. Training topics include: Ladder, Fall protection, scaffolding, electrical, hazard communication, asbestos, forklift, safety monitor, CPR & First-Aid, CERTA, confined spaces & many others. Employee training sessions may be completed in as little as 15 minutes with full documentation provided to you.
